A Tale of Triple Cheese Bliss: Crafting the Perfect Biscuit

It was one of those days when a craving for a savory, cheesy delight struck me like a bolt of culinary inspiration. With my upcoming recipe book in mind, I embarked on a quest to create the ultimate cheese biscuit, a creation that would undoubtedly earn its place in the hallowed pages of my cookbook.


Triple Cheese Biscuit Ingredients:

100 grams of all-purpose flour

35 grams of custard powder

20 grams of milk powder

1.5 grams of baking powder

60 grams of cheddar cheese

80 grams of parmesan cheese

10 grams of fresh chives

5 grams of fresh garlic

65 grams of butter

20 grams of cream cheese

54 grams of whole eggs

18 grams of fresh milk


Procedure:

  1. The Oven’s Prelude: Set the stage by pre-heating your oven to a toasty 180°C for at least 15 minutes.

  2. The Canvas of Baking: Line your baking trays with parchment paper, your trusty canvas for culinary creation.

  3. The Harmonious Dry Ensemble: In a pristine bowl, unite the all-purpose flour, custard powder, milk powder, and baking powder. Stir them together until they blend into a harmonious dry symphony.

  4. The Cheese Chorus: Now, it’s time for the stars of our show. Add cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, fresh chives, and garlic to the dry ensemble, infusing it with an exquisite cheesy melody. Set this harmonious mixture aside.

  5. The Creamy Overture: In another act, beat cream cheese for 1 minute in the mixer, using a paddle at medium speed. Then, add butter, continuing to cream until it becomes smooth and radiates a light, inviting color.

  6. The Egg Sonata: Slowly introduce the eggs into this creamy composition, allowing them to blend seamlessly until the mixture achieves a smooth, luscious crescendo.

  7. The Perfect Harmony: Now, unite the liquid ingredients with the dry ensemble, and watch as they come together in a perfect culinary harmony.

  8. The Rolling Crescendo: Roll the dough into a log, wrapping it tenderly in cling wrap. Let it rest in the cool embrace of your fridge for a minimum of 3 hours, allowing it to mature into a symphony of flavors.

  9. The Slicing Movement: Once your dough has reached the perfect crescendo of firmness, slice the log into enchanting 1 cm-thick portions.

  10. The Baking Finale: As the curtain rises, bake these biscuit wonders for 18 to 20 minutes, or until they transform into firm, golden masterpieces. They should adorn your stage with an even, light golden-brown hue.

  11. The Cooling Interlude: Allow your freshly baked stars to cool gracefully on the baking tray for 2 to 3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling wire.

  12. The Grand Finale: Finally, pack these delectable treats in an airtight container, ready to take center stage in your culinary repertoire.


The result of this culinary escapade? A triple cheese biscuit that embodies the rich, cheesy notes of cheddar and parmesan, the freshness of chives, and the depth of garlic. Each bite is a symphony of flavors that melts in your mouth, leaving you craving for more.
